Sustainability transitions are among the great projects of humankind.
All societies go through change. Challenges in meeting societal needs, living well together, sharing and caring for resources, and inhabiting this earth responsibly re-present over and over again. Different societies, and different communities within and across societies, resolve these challenges differently. Times of stability don't last forever. Challenges must be re-solved over and over again. Societal norms and values get negotiated all over again. And changes have consequences. The air grows thick with contestation, power. When faced with such challenges, how do we - as diverse societies, as communities, families, humans, and stewards - meet the moment? How do we meet moments that call us back into balance?
This website is a personal project dedicated to living those questions. It has no answers.
The perspectives here are my own and those of the people contributing to these conversations. I seek to share materials and resources that step into these questions, to connect anyone who is listening with other voices out there, to share my own work for your use and feedback, and to host reflective conversations about changemaking in this moment.
